Hello! Alicia here with a brand new feature for our blog:What to Read Wednesdays! Because I'm starting up the second season of my podcast, From Cover to Reel, I thought I would share with you guys the things I'm reading that I really love. Not all the books I feature here will be from the podcast but most probably will be, because that's what I'm reading lately.
I have loved reading for...forever! I can't remember a time where I didn't like it. I love reading everything. The more I can read and learn, the better! My favorite books of all time I have shared on other bookish posts we've made. The Wizard of Oz, Gone With the Wind, and Harry Potter being just a few of them. I'm so excited to start this new feature and share my passion for books with you. Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs
This week I'm sharing a picture book written by Judi Barrett and illustrated by Ron Barrett, Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs.
This cute storybook tells the story of the town ChewandSwallow where instead of watching the weather report to see if they need an umbrella, the townsfolk watch to see if they need a fork or a spoon. It "rains" food down 3 meals a day. That is until the food starts coming down too large and giant pancakes close down the school! What are the people of ChewandSwallow to do? Guys! You have to read this book if you haven't yet. My son loves it. Our copy is so well worn I need to tape the cover back on (oops)! The story is simple and so imaginative. And the illustrations are so fun! We love reading it together and seeing all the new details we can find in the pictures. Our favorite is a guy with a giant elbow macaroni noodle on his head.
What's even more fun is that there are sequels to this book: Pickles to Pittsburg and Planet of the Pies! I haven't read these yet but I'm looking forward to it. I can wholeheartedly recommend the first book though. I love it!
And this will be the subject of our podcast this month, so if you read it and watch the movie (it's on Netflix right now) let us know what you think of the movie adaptation.

Hello! Today we share with you Something to Wear as part of our children's gift guides. Something to Read and Something they Need have already been done. Stay tuned for Something they Want.
I'm so excited for this post because I love kids clothes! They're so cute and less expensive than my own clothes (usually). Kids look cute in everything so it makes shopping so much easier. Today I have found a bunch of cute clothes at Target for the kids. I personally buy my own kids clothes at Target. I love the price and sales they have. The quality is also great. My son has pants from there that still look nice after a year of frequent use from playing outside. I also like their Cat & Jack brand because they get kids in on the designing process! So there's more unique clothing choices. And my daughter has many cute clothes from Target, dresses, pants, shirts, pjs...she's a Target girl like her momma! So I feel confident in recommending these clothes to you today. My kids and I both love them and they get complemented on their outfits frequently. Right now Target is having a sale on kids clothes so it's the perfect time to buy. Buy One Get One 50% off! And if you order $35 of clothes shipping is free! Or you can have it shipped to your local store for pick-up. Something to Wear for Babies
Something to Wear for Toddlers
Something to Wear for School-Aged Kids
This is just a handful of all the cute clothes I saw on their site and in stores. Have a look for yourself and do your shopping from the comfort of your own home. Merry Christmas!

Now that Thanksgiving is over it's time to start thinking about Christmas, and my favorite tradition is the Advent Calendar! I did a similar post to this last year where I shared the best printable advent calendars of 2018.
This year I'm just going to share some favorite advent calendars I've found. And I'll remind you of these two we made and shared with you last year. A printable punch card with scriptures to read each day. And a reusable, felt, countdown chain. Best Advent Calendars of 2018Light the World 2018
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints makes this calendar each year to help us focus on the reason for the season, Jesus! It's always service oriented and this year is really cool because each week they have us focusing on a different way to light the world, starting with the world, then local community, then family, then yourself (self-care ya know!)! I love it and I'm excited to do it with my family.

And there you have it! my favorite advent calendars of this year! Do you do advent calendars? What are your favorites?
