In our family, we love handmade gifts. I actually peruse and search throughout the year for things that I can make that my family members and friends will love. We have shared a bunch of ideas over the years of our blogging lifetime. I've gone back and found 30 of my favorites to put on this list at your fingertips so that with a click you can find great idea after great idea to gift to your own family and friends.
I've divided these gifts into 6 categories: wood, sewing, crafts, food, home & personal, and computer generated. There is something for anyone at any skill level to make!

Every year during the holidays, new games are added to our family's collection. We love playing games together when we gather for the holidays and we are always on the lookout for something we haven't played before, or an old classic that we haven't played in awhile.
Games make great Christmas gifts and you can find good ones for all of the ages in your family. When everyone is together, they are a great way to spend time enjoying each other's company. In our family, we have so many great memories of fun game nights when we laughed until we cried.
With Thanksgiving on the horizon and then Christmas right after that, now is a great time to look for some fun family games that you can give as gifts and/or enjoy as a family during your time together. To give you some help, here is a list of past posts with game suggestions:
*Trivia Games-we give you a sample of how WE would answer some of the questions. There are a variety of suggested games on this list.
*Card Games- this is kind of an all encompassing list with any games that rely strongly on cards, like Dominion. *Some Fun Board Games *Scrabble-the game and the crafts! *Two Person Games-for smaller families! *10 Great Party Games-This list is my particular favorite. *Skyjo-this was our favorite this summer and even the youngest kids could play it!
But Wait! That isn't all! There are a few other games that I haven't even told you about yet! You will love them all!
I hope I've given you some new ideas for games that you can enjoy with your family! Please! If you have tried any new games that you think my family will love, drop the titles in the comments for us! We're always "game" for a new game!
Oh! I almost forgot! Here is a free printable game I made you guys for Christmas last year. You can still print it if you haven't done so yet.

As my kids were growing up, one of our favorite traditions was putting up the advent calendar that I had made out of felt and counting the days until Christmas. We also would get the chocolate calendars for each kid to have one of their own.
For a few years now, we've been putting up festive and fun advent calendars and it is probably one of my favorite things to do at this time of year, scouring the internet for advent calendars that strike my fancy!
Amazon Choices:
* I'm starting out with this adorable wooden Melissa & Doug Countdown Christmas Tree! Their products are always great quality. The colors are vibrant and the price is terrific! It is only $19.78 right now and with free Prime Shipping!
*Lego has a few different Christmas Countdown sets. We had one that we used for a few years until it was finally absorbed into the rest of the Legos. Legos are always a big hit!
*I was just playing Play-Doh with a couple of my grandchildren the other day. Some of their well used Play-Doh was drying out. When I sawthis set I was sure that we could have a ton of fun with it as well as replenish some of their Play-Doh! It is a great price at only $19.90.
*I can think of a few people who would love having this Harry Potter Pop Up Advent Calendar! Lindsey and I were just saying to one another recently that for some reason we like watching Harry Potter at Christmas Time! It must be Mrs. Weasley's handmade sweaters.
Oriental Trading:
* This Christmas Snowman is simple to use, super cute and very affordable at $8.98!
*I love this Nativity Advent Calendar, it reminds me of the Christmas Tree one I made so many years ago, but I wish mine had been of the Nativity! The figures are adorable, and the price is only $12.78!
*This Christmas Gnome Advent is so adorable. I haven't quite moved on from the gnome trend yet. There aren't any tiny pieces to lose, you just move the little heart from pocket to pocket. But, I think you could put a treat in each pocket as well!
Etsy:
*There are always some great surprises on Etsy, and this year is no exception! I love this Wooden Advent where the star moves along and the treats hang below. I've even seen some that end at the stable of the Baby Jesus. *In our own 3 Winks Design Shop, we have a printable Advent Calendar that you can purchase. It was for a Quarantine Christmas, and many of us still have had to end up quarantining anyway this year, so the activities on it are still relevant this year!
Miscellaneous:
*Here is a great find that you should only get if you have a lot of will power! I would probably have this count down speed up to last about 3 days. It is the See's Candy Advent Calendar! Pricey but yummy!
*JCPenney has some fabulous Advent Choices on their website. I love this beautiful wooden drawer Advent! You fill the drawers with treats or small ornaments. It would look so beautiful on a shelf or mantle. The price is much lower than you might think!

You may have noticed that our last post was about our favorite pumpkin recipes, celebrating Lindsey's birthday. Well, the day after Lindsey's birthday is Madalynn's birthday! As a matter of fact, all of my daughter's birthdays are in the same month! If I had thought of this idea sooner, I would have done a pizza post for Alicia, since she loves pizza. (Sorry Alicia, maybe next year!) But, just in time for Maddy's birthday, I decided to share our favorite vegan recipes. Most of these recipes are ones that we have posted in our efforts to make sure that Madalynn gets to eat at our family events. But, there are also some recipes included from other bloggers who Maddy follows. As I began finding ways to add vegan options to my repertoire, I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it is to convert regular recipes to make them vegan and also, at how many of our recipes are vegan already! So, here goes! The first few are savory and then we tend to have a bunch of desserts ;) Alicia's recipe for Easy Fresh Salsa is as vegan as it gets! She roasts her veggies before making the salsa, which adds a deeper flavor with a bit of char. This salsa is always a hit a parties! Lindsey shared this Vegan Taco Salad recipe and trust me, you don't miss the meat! Some of the meat substitutes out there are very tasty! It looks like we have a Mexican Food theme here! These Vegan Refried Beans would go great with the salsa and the salad! These Vegan Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies are one of the first vegan recipes Maddy posted and they were well received and for good reason! They are delicious! The sweet thing about these cookies, besides the cookies themselves, is that Lindsey doesn't even like cashews! But she made them for her aunt and her sister. These Magic Vegan Cashew Cookies Bars are something you've got to try! Madalynn came up with the recipe for these Cookie Dough Brownies because of a need she saw in the world! She is a giver! You're welcome. Since this list is in honor of Maddy's birthday, of course I had to include this Vegan Chocolate Cake that is perfect for the vegan in your life's birthday, too! No one will be able to tell it is vegan. Last Christmas Season, we did recipes for The 12 Days of Christmas. Maddy made these Vegan Churro Bites With Peppermint Chocolate Sauce for the eleventh day. They are amazing little nuggets of holiday flavor! (There are links to the rest of the days of Christmas, too, if you want to check those out. ) Maddy makes a delicious Cranberry Sauce that is a favorite of everyone's, not just those who eat vegan. The recipe for this Cranberry Sauce and other perfect Thanksgiving dishes are available for you at this post. There are recipes for soup, corn, mashed potatoes and apple pie, all vegan. You can be vegan and celebrate Thanksgiving, too! Other Posts You May Enjoy:
